Some of you may not know this about me, but I am a Co-Founder of a non-profit, Hope for God's Children, that raises money for families of children with neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. We organize a bunch of designers and buyers who auction off their items and 100% of the proceeds go to the family that we have chosen for that "launch." Just recently we launched our auctions for the Matthew's family. They have had a rough couple of years and our launch was to benefit not only Ezra the newly 2 year old boy with cancer, but also his baby brother Charley who was born prematurely at only 1 pound, 15 ounces and his Charley's twin Price who passed away on his 1 week birthday.
I was fortunate enough to meet Ezra and Charley as well as their parents Robyn and Kyle as they live here in Tampa. I even had the privilege of snapping a few photos of their beautiful family.
Tonight Ezra is fighting for his life. Earlier today the doctors gave Ezra no hope. They stopped all chemo and took him off the clinical trials he was scheduled to begin. But those doctors don't know the power of our God and the thousands of prayer warriors all across the country lifting up Ezra and his family. A few hours ago, Ezra's doctors upgraded him to "slim chance."
I wanted to share with my blog followers Ezra's story and urge you to stop whatever your doing and lift up this family. We serve an awesome God and if we ask Him, our faith can move mountains. Robyn's, (Ezra's mother) last facebook status says "I still am praying." and I wanted to ask that you all join Robyn and agree with her in prayer.
(Ezra and Charley)
I don't know what plans God has in store for Ezra. But I do believe in miracles. Ezra's name means "God Helps" and I know that wherever Ezra achieves healing, whether here on Earth or in Heaven with our Savior, that God will use Ezra to help others by his witness and his parents unending extraordinary faith.
Matthew 17:20 " I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
